General

Ostlers Cottage offers very stylish but comfortable accommodation for a holiday or weekend in the Cotswolds. Well behaved, small dogs are welcome (max of 2). The use of a dog crate is preferred as dogs are not permitted on furniture or upstairs. An additional charge of £25 per dog is required.

A welcome tray including homemade cake will be awaiting you, fresh flowers throughout the cottage and in the winter the wood burner will be laid ready to be lit upon your arrival. A few kitchen basics are provided to get you started, including milk in the fridge.
A small wood store situated outside the front door houses logs for you to use throughout your stay. If you require more please contact the owners who will provide them that day. Please do not burn wood from any other source on the wood burner.

Horse B&B

Keith & Jacquie Walby, the owners of Ostlers Cottage, farm just outside Mickleton and as well as breeding and training their own horses they run a DIY livery yard. If you would like to bring your horse/pony on holiday with you so that either you can keep an eye on it, or to enjoy riding in the lovely countryside, accommodation (stable and turn out) is available from April – October (sometimes later). Please contact the owners to discuss your requirements, availability and rates

Garden

A small courtyard garden at the front of the cottage provides a secluded, pretty place to sit and relax, scented in summer, by the many shrubs, flowers and herbs planted in the borders and pots. Guests are welcome to make use of the herbs during their stay and a barbeque is provided.

Hallway

An unusual glazed door (beware of your head!) opens into a tiled hallway where there is plenty of room for boots etc. The downstairs cloakroom provides hanging space for coats and houses the washing machine.

Kitchen

The pretty shaker-style kitchen opens directly from the hall and provides ample cupboard space, a dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer and is extremely well-equipped.

Sitting Room

The beamed sitting room is furnished to a high standard and features a wood burner, French windows into the garden, oak dining table and four chairs, a 3-seater sofa and armchair, smart TV and music centre. A bookcase holds a variety of books and DVDs whilst games for your entertainment are to be found in the sideboard.

The first floor is reached via the stairs from the sitting room featuring an original small alcove.
